Glass Bead Weaving - Native American Technique
This collection features various expressions of Native American glass bead weaving that I learned on the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina. To me, the beads are a palette of color to be used to create design. The enrolled woman who taught me could make incredible designs without hardly ever looking at the beads. She had the various colors in separate little piles in her shallow basket. Only the best glass beads are used for these projects which help give them a consistent look.
