Hundreds of #11 glass beads were used to create this stunning pair of earrings featuring an eagle. The symbolism of the eagle is especially meaningful to me. Eagles can soar above any problem. They even fly above clouds to get out of the rain. It is the majestic totem of my ancesterial home of Big Cove.
I learned how to weave glass beads together in Cherokee, NC from a wonderful elder woman who could weave intricate patterns without even looking at her piles of colored beads. Just amazing.
